A photographic travel journal

Recently This is a trip that my father and I went on to visit Iceland in May/June of 2019. We were only there for a week or so, but I wanted to re-visit many of the places I had seen several years ago with my wife. We spent our time in Reykjavik at a great Airbnb (as usual), driving the Golden Circle, and the southern coastline down to Vik. Funny enough – we arrived just as the “Festival of the Sea” was happening and got to see some interesting things down by the water. Although it was puffin season I still didn’t see any in our travels. The season was such that there was nearly 24 hours of daylight which was an interesting experience. Again we also made heavy use out of the “drive it yourself” guides posted on the I Heart Reykjavik website (without which we wouldn’t have seen nearly the amount we did). I highly recommend checking out their website and their guides if you are going yourself. I’ve posted my own map below detailing the sights we were able to hit, along with some of the food/shopping we were most impressed with. Following that are a sampling of pictures from the trip.
