A photographic travel journal

Late 2018 we decided to travel to Germany – and attempted to do so with a 1.5 year old (something that actually worked surprisingly well… considering). We stayed in a lovely apartment located in the Maxvorstadt area. Being with a child we didn’t anticipate how limited we would be in terms of what we could visit given the time we had. Even given the restrictions of nap times and bed times we managed to visit nearly everything we wanted to. We had hoped to travel north a bit to see Rothenburg ob der Tauber, but it was just too much with too little time. We managed to spend a ton of time in Munich, travel outside of town to see the Neuschwanstein Castle (and the surrounding town of Füssen), and spent the day in Salzburg, Austria for a bit of sightseeing and shopping. Germany is massive and it’s going to take a few trips to see everything, not to mention we barely scratched the surface of Austria and what it has to offer. I’ve posted my own map below detailing the sights we were able to hit, along with some of the food/shopping we were most impressed with (and a few we weren’t). Following that are more pictures than you can shake a stick at.
